Second consecutive pole position in the WEC for Antonio Fuoco and Ferrari AF Corse this Friday at Spa. The Italian driver, already dominating in the exercise on his grounds of Imola, showed himself imperial during the two sessions on the menu with the Ferrari 499P n°50 – Ferrari AF Corse.

Fuoco set the tone during the first part of qualifying, with a benchmark set in 2’02″462, 0″124 ahead of the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Brendon Hartley and two tenths ahead of the best #5 Porsche 963 – Porsche Penske Motorsport by Matt Campbell.

Also qualified are the #83 Ferrari – AF Corse of Robert Kubica, the #35 Alpine A424 of Charles Milesi, the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 – BMW M Team WRT of Robin Frijns, the #12 Porsche – Hertz Team JOTA of Callum Ilott, the Porsche n°6 – Porsche Penske of Kévin Estre, the Porsche n°99 – Proton Competition of Julien Andlauer and the Cadillac V-Series.R n°2 – Cadillac Racing of Alex Lynn. On the other hand, surprise with the eliminations of Ferrari n°51 – Ferrari AF Corse (for 23 thousandths) and Toyota n°7. Also absent from Peugeot 9X8 n°93 and n°94 in Hyperpole.

Fuoco then repeated his performance in Hyperpole, dominating the field of ten Hypercars in 2’02″600, half a second ahead of the competition led by Matt Campbell (Porsche n°5 – Porsche Penske) and Alex Lynn, excellent third on the Cadillac No. 2 – Cadillac Racing.

Followed by the three Porsches n°99 – Proton of Julien Andlauer, n°12 – Hertz Team JOTA of Callum Ilott and n°6 – Porsche Penske of Kévin Estre. Brendon Hartley places the #8 Toyota in 7th position ahead of the #35 Alpine of Charles Milesi, who stopped his LMDh at the side of the track in the final moments. Robert Kubica (Ferrari n°83 – AF Corse) and Robin Frijns (BMW n°20 – BMW M Team WRT) complete the top 10.
