Under pressure from LOSC, still in search of third place in Ligue 1, Stade Brestois confirmed the absence until the end of the season of one of its best players, who will therefore miss the trip to Toulouse during the last day.

Two days before the end of the season, the next meetings, starting with this weekend, will be decisive in the race for Europe and maintenance. This Thursday, at a press conference, Eric Roy, the Stade Brestois technician, confirmed the injury of his playing master Pierre Lees-Melou for the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old midfielder suffers from a fractured fibula and will undergo surgery this week, even though his 2023/2024 season has already ended. “Hoping that he can resume as soon as the restart, which is not a certainty” confided the Breton coach at a press conference. The latter had also mentioned the France team for his player last March.

Appearing 29 times this season, for a total of four goals, Pierre Lees-Melou will therefore miss the reception at the Stade de Reims this weekend and the trip to Toulouse on the final day (just like Bradley Locko, suspended for the J34). A big loss for the Finisterians, assured of competing in a European Cup, but still fighting to maintain their third place in Ligue 1.
