The summer transfer window has been over for a while, but the winter transfer period is fast approaching. Many teams are already busy preparing their transfer plans, while coaching changes continue to take place. Footnews brings you the latest news from the Mercato every day.

Jupiler Pro League

Anderlecht are still looking for a new head coach. Among the names put forward was that of Kjetil Knutsen, the successful coach of Bodø/Glimt. However, the Norwegian appears to be uninterested in leaving. Before the match against Union, he said he had not spoken with Anderlecht and was not considering leaving his current position.

On the Lokeren-Temse side, two experienced recruits were hired to turn the situation around after a failed start to the season. The second division club has strengthened its sports unit by welcoming Karel Fraeye and Koen Schockaert. Both have a past in Lokeren and a good knowledge of division 1B.

Kylian Hazard has finally found a new club. He surprised everyone by signing for the National 1 team, Tubize-Braine. He will play alongside his younger brother Ethan and will also reunite with their father, Thierry Hazard, who is president of the club.

Abroad

Manchester City have suffered a major blow with Rodri’s long unavailability. The English champion could therefore look for a replacement in January, and more and more names are circulating. One of the potential candidates is Martin Zubimendi. The Real Sociedad midfielder is already Rodri’s replacement in the Spanish national team and had turned down a move to Liverpool this summer.

FC Barcelona has found a solution to its goalkeeper problem following the serious injury of Ter Stegen. As expected, the club recalled Wojciech Szczesny from retirement. The Polish goalkeeper ended his career at the end of August, but has now signed until the end of the season.
