Shuai Zheng had lost 24 matches in a row before winning four straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 in Beijing, where she was stopped by Paula Badosa (6−1, 7–6). She received a nice tribute from the Spaniard during the on-court interview.
