Municipal delegation, footballers, musicians… Residents of Vanuatu are taking a little longer than expected to return home, due to a technical problem on a plane. They are staying in a hotel in Nouméa.

The hazards of air transport. 47 Vanuatu people found themselves stranded in Caledonia. The reason given was a technical failure on the Air Vanuatu plane, which caused the cancellation of the flight scheduled for Monday evening. It had to be postponed until the following evening, then this Wednesday, and then Thursday…

Also in this mess, the Vanuatu futsal team, which came to participate in the Oceania championships which were played last week in Païta. Supported by the company, the group is currently staying in a hotel in Anse-Vata. Contacted by NC la 1ère, Air Vanuatu specifies that passengers on Monday’s flights will leave this Thursday at 4 p.m. and those scheduled for this Wednesday’s flight must depart on Friday May 3.
