At 38, former French international Gaëtane Thiney has extended her contract at Paris FC for one year, the club announced in a press release on Monday. “I appreciate the privilege of being able to continue to play and evolve in a caring and expert environment at Paris FC”declared the captain, a major figure in the PFC, who played in the group stage of the Champions League this season and is qualified for the D1 playoffs.
She has already played more than 400 matches in Paris and scored more than 200 goals since her arrival in 2008. Gaëtane Thiney “will therefore continue his extraordinary journey with Paris FC for an additional season, thus marking the last of an immense and successful career”commented the club about the midfielder, who had initially planned to end his career at the end of this season.
