HAS three days before the official end of the championship of France football, PSG were crowned Ligue 1 champions for the twelfth time this Sunday evening, at the end of the 31st day. Thanks to the defeat of its runner-up Monaco in Lyon (3-2), and after the draw (3-3) of PSG against Le Havre on Saturday eveningthe Parisians are certain of no longer being overtaken in the ranking: they count twelve points ahead of the Monegasques.
This coronation takes place three days before the semi-final first leg against the Germans from Dortmundand after the landmark victory for Paris Saint-Germain in Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Towards the hat-trick?
With this national title, PSG can hope to achieve the treble, by also winning the Champions League, which has so far eluded them, and the Coupe de France. The final of the latter will take place on May 25 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille (North). The Parisians will have to overcome the Lyonnais, already beaten during the 30th day of L1 by an imperial PSG.
Mbappé on departure
It is most likely the last time that Kylian Mbappé will lift the Ligue 1 trophy. The superstar, twice scorer in the return match against Barça, announced to its leaders his intention to leave the club at the end of the season, before his probable transfer to Real Madrid.
