Two years after being forced out by Anderlecht, Vincent Kompany now coaches Bayern Munich, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Pfaff visited Kompany

Recently, Jean-Marie Pfaff went to visit his compatriot. The Bavarian legend was able to follow a training session with the former Red Devil: “It was a training session closed to the public but Vincent allowed me to follow it. He knows that I won’t reveal anything to anyone,” he told La Dernière-Heure.

Before continuing: “I was impressed by what I saw. Vincent is truly a world-class coach. I don’t understand why Anderlecht let him go. It was a monumental mistake, for which they are still paying the price today.”

Vandenhaute’s choice

As a reminder, Anderlecht and Kompany decided to end their collaboration because there was a difference of vision between the Belgian coach and Wouter Vandenhaute. Following Kompany’s departure, RSCA decided to entrust the reins of the team to Felice Mazzù, without much success.

Later, Jesper Fredberg and Brian Riemer arrived at Anderlecht and managed to achieve great things, even if Anderlecht has still not become the big club it once was.
