The Briton beat the Israeli Artem Dologpyat, Olympic champion and reigning world champion, on Friday in Rimini (Italy). Léo Saladino and Jim Zona ranked 5th and 8th respectively.

Briton Luke Whitehouse retained his title of European champion on floor on Friday in Rimini (Italy), where French gymnasts Léo Saladino and Jim Zona were ranked 5th and 8th respectively. Whitehouse won with 14.866 points, a hair ahead of Israeli Artem Dologpyat, Olympic champion and reigning world champion (14.833 pts).

Two Frenchmen, Léo Saladino and Jim Zona, were entered in the final. Saladino was able to control his passage with solid content to obtain 5th place (14,066 pts). Sick, Jim Zona was forced to present a program with a lowered level of difficulty, which earned him 8th place with 12.933 points. Neither will participate in the Olympics in three months.

In the other finals, the Greek Eleftherios Petrounias, Olympic champion in 2016, was crowned on the rings for the seventh time, while the Irish Rhys McClenaghan retained his title on the pommel horse.
