After crossing the Mediterranean from Greece aboard the Belem, the Olympic flame will arrive this May 8 in the Phocaean city. As a reminder, the famous three-masted ship will enter the harbor of Marseille around 12:45 p.m., accompanied by a “armada of very diverse boats” for a “great parade at sea”. The Belem will then return to the old port at 6 p.m. “very precisely” and will dock around 7 p.m. so that the Olympic flame can come down.
As part of this sporting and global event, numerous restrictions will be put in place in the city of Marseille, sometimes from May 5 and until May 9.
