A match that promises to be historic at the Chaban-Delmas stadium in on Saturday at 5:45 p.m. Already 22,000 tickets sold (out of 30,000 possible) for the final of the Women’s Six Nations tournament between the Blues and the Red Roses. The attendance record for a women’s rugby match in should therefore be broken, the French Rugby Federation announced this Tuesday.

The previous French record dates from 2023 in with just over 18,600 spectators during the Women’s Six Nations tournament with the France-Wales match. And the previous absolute record for a women’s rugby match with 58,498 spectators, it was also last year, at Twickenham Stadium in Londonwhen England faced Les Bleues (38-33).

The French are currently second (19 pts) in the ranking behind the English (20 pts). They won their first four matches, ahead of Ireland (38-17), Scotland (15-5) then against Italy (38-15) and Wales (40-0), offering themselves a final against the English, world vice-champions and five-time title holders.
