Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has high hopes for Noussair Mazraoui, who has just arrived at Old Trafford. “I think Noussair Mazraoui has started the season really, really well. I’ve been really impressed with him,” he told Genting Casino. He added: “We did some assessments after a few games but I think he’s adapted really well to the Premier League. In the opening game he made some great tackles, some great interceptions, some great counters and he looked comfortable on the ball. He looked pretty solid to me for an opening game.”

Noussair has started each of United’s first four Premier League games this season, all at right-back. According to Manchester Evening Newshe has shown early promise, both defensively and offensively. Last Saturday, the Atlas Lion contributed to his new club’s big win over Southampton (3-0) at St Mary’s. Owen believes the Atlas Lion could be Manchester United’s best signing of the summer transfer window: “If you go by those numbers, and he’s going to improve as well, then he could be a very good signing. The early signs are promising, so he could be United’s most impressive summer signing.”
