In a few weeks, Domenico Tedesco will reveal his final list for the Euro. But he could benefit from a little time to think.

A week ago, we discussed UEFA’s thinking about expanding the selections from 23 to 26 players for the Euro, as for the post-coronavirus events that were Euro 2020 and the European Cup. World 2022.

Another measure could be to extend the deadline for communicating the said list. Currently, coaches have until June 7 to communicate their final list for theEuro of this summer.

But several coaches have already expressed their dissatisfaction with the timing, which they consider too early. The competition begins on June 14, a week later. But in between, a lot can still happen.

The selectors heard by UEFA?

Several teams are still playing preparation friendlies beyond June 7. This is the case for the Red Devils who will play against Luxembourg on the 8th. In addition to providing final lessons to the various coaches, these matches can unfortunately also cause last-minute injuries.

According to Sky Sports, these arguments convinced theUEFA to think about the question with a view to potentially changing the regulations by the end of the season.
