OM takes legal action against a journalist from the Team

Nothing is going well between Olympique de and certain sports media. In a press release published this Monday, the Marseille club announced that it had initiated legal proceedings against Sébastien Tarrago, journalist for L'Équipe, for comments deemed “insulting and unacceptable” made during a television program broadcast on January 19. The club denounced an attack on its image, on its leaders, but also on its supporters. This decision is part of a broader strategy by OM aimed at no longer tolerating “any offensive remarks” against it, particularly in a context where the issue of mental health is at the center of national concerns.

As a reminder, the journalist attacked Pablo Longoria by calling him a retarded teenager: “When you run a club with a budget of 500 or 600 million euros, even if you are a young president, you have the right to have behavior which is not that of a retarded adolescent,” he said. OM demands not only the conviction of the journalist, but also damages to repair what it considers to be a direct attack. Discover the full press release below!
