On November 25, 2022, the central defender Tijany Atallahsigned his first professional contract with the Girondins de Bordeaux, until 2025. The general public discovered him in the Coupe de France, on the pitch at Stade Brestois, where he also had a good game despite the defeat. He was then redirected to the Bordeaux reserve even though he had been training for several months with the professional team. While he was selected for the French youth team, he finally chose to join the Algerian U20 selection.
Born in Muret, in Haute-Garonne, the defender touched his first balls in clubs in his region. From 6 to 15 years old, he played with US Venerquoise, US Colomiers Football and Balma SC. In 2018, the player was spotted by FC Girondins de Bordeaux and joined its training center.
When signing his first professional contract, he was obviously happy. “It’s a pride to be able to sign for this club that trained me. It boosts me. It’s definitely a positive thing, and it’s going to help me be even better.”
The rest, you know it. Last summer, the club lost its professional status. Then, the defender was invited, like the other players, to terminate his contract. We could think, like Emeric Depussay, that he would seize his chance and stay in his training club. As for 98% of players, this was not the case.
-Without a club since this summer, speaking with a physical trainer, he has visibly found a way out. According to our information, he will join a competitor of the Girondins, namely the Union Sportive Castanéenne. This club plays at the same level as the Bordeaux reserve, namely in National 3 (Group A).
Also note that the Girondins U18s are also strengthening. Indeed, Amara Camara et
Keirol Boscboth playing in Niort, should join the FCGB.
