While PSG is reportedly looking for a left winger for the next winter transfer window, the Croatian press is announcing strong Parisian interest in the young Croatian attacking midfielder from Dinamo Zagreb, Martin Baturina.
If you have followed AS Monaco's journey in the Champions League this season, or at least watched video summaries, you may have seen Martin Baturina, promising Croatian number 10 for Dinamo Zagreb, who was a decisive passer and scorer against ASM in their 2-2 draw against the Croatians.
Number 10 in the back, Martin Baturina is right-handed and plays mainly as a playmaker at club. This 21-year-old also has 9 caps with Croatia and has already played on the right wing or left wing with his country. Since Monday evening, he has been in PSG's sights.
PSG ready to put €25 million on Baturina?
According to Croatian media Germanijak, PSG are very interested in Baturina and would be ready to recruit him in January before loaning him to Dinamo Zagreb until this summer. Some sources consulted by the Croatian media mention an operation worth 25 million euros, on a fixed basis for some, bonus included for others.
If Germanijak is convinced that PSG's interest is real, the Croatian media remains cautious regarding the progress of the negotiations and does not want to “draw hasty conclusions”. Under contract until 2028 with Dinamo Zagreb, Baturina is estimated at €20 million on Transfermarkt and has played 20 matches this season in all competitions for 2 goals and 7 assists.
Last summer, Dinamo Zagreb would have refused €18 million from Fiorentina for him and Manchester United would also have been interested in him. Baturina is one of the great hopes of Croatian football and has been playing for more than three and a half years now in the Dinamo Zagreb first team.
