6 million won, but terrible news for OL

The transfer window full of dangers for OL is preparing, and Liverpool intends to take advantage of the crisis in to recover the number 1 asset in the person of Malick Fofana.

A little over a month before the launch of the January transfer window, OL supporters are wondering what sauce their club will be served with. Will John Textor, who promised that the DNCG was wrong and had understood nothing about its economic model, attempt the bluff to the end by leaving Pierre Sage at the helm of a competitive team, or will Does he obey the financial policeman by separating from several players to bring in money and reduce the payroll? Given the sanction pronounced at first instance by the DNCG, it is obviously the second solution that is feared. The departure of Malick Fofana would be a real sporting blow, as the Belgian has found his feet since the start of the season and is the number 1 offensive danger in the entertainment.

Liverpool ready to put 25 million

However, his situation at OL is causing increasing interest, and the English press reveals that Liverpool intends to recover the former La Gantoise player, in what is called a market opportunity according to the Reds. Indeed, Team Talk estimates that the Mersey club will need to put 25 million euros on the table to recover the Lyon winger, who would nevertheless have implied several times that he intended to continue to grow in the Rhône and not leave before 2026. But if OL have to sell, they will probably not have that many opportunities to recover such a sum.

However, such an operation would be very frustrating, because the financial benefit would not be enormous. Indeed, John Textor had dropped 19 million euros a year ago to bring him from Belgium, and seeing him leave for 25 ME represents a positive accounting transaction, even if the potential of the 19-year-old player is undeniable, and suggests a much bigger operation in a few years if he still shows his advantage. The sporting loss would be terrible, and the gain of 6 ME on the two operations is not likely to console the Lyon fans, for whom if there is one player to keep in this financial slump, it is Malick Fofana.
