Coupe de : When will LOSC know their opponent in the 32nd finals?

The seventh round of the Coupe de , with the entry of Ligue 2 clubs, ended this weekend. LOSC will soon know the identity of its first opponent in the competition.

Resting during the international break, LOSC has already shone this season in the Coupe de France. It was last weekend, during the 7th round, when Trévis Dago scored a double, or when Vincent Burlet and Ugo Raghouber advanced to the next stage. Performing well in Ligue 1 (4th) as in the Champions League (14th), the Mastiffs will wish to continue their dynamic with the Old Lady, a competition in which they have not distinguished themselves in recent years. As proof, they have not reached the quarter-finals of the competition since the 2016-17 season. We have to go back to the 2010-11 double to see traces of a semi-final.

This year, the Coupe de France is arriving faster than usual. The calendar has been modified and the elite teams of French football will enter the competition in the coming weeks, before 2025 even rears its head. The 32nd finals, the round in which LOSC will compete for its chances, have been scheduled for the weekend of December 21, 2024, and no longer at the start of the following year.

Focused on their next deadlines, and the celebration of the 80th anniversary of their club, Bruno Genesio's men will meet their first opponent on Monday December 2, during a draw which will take place at the Parc des Princes a few days after the 8th tower has delivered its verdict (November 30). During the previous year, they faced 's Golden Lion FC at this stage of the competition. The Dogues had pocketed a big success (12-0) against the residents of Regional 1. This is still the biggest success of a club in the Coupe de France from the 32nd since the post-war period.
