Perhaps one of the most incredible challenges since I became a coach” comments the former AS Cannes coach initially. “But for my president, for all these volunteers, for this club, for my family, for the famous sporting fairness mentioned below which should have allowed Goal FC to play a 2nd season in National 1, we all go together with this group maintain us at the end of the season” referring to the case of the Girondins de Bordeaux at the start of the season having prevented GOAL FC from being drafted into the National. As a result, the third French division only contains 17 teams this season, compared to 18 normally.

GOAL FC, twelfth in Group A with eleven points initially, now finds itself last with only two points on the clock.
