Arriving at Olympique Lyonnais this summer, Rémy Descamps will not be content with the role of number 2 goalkeeper. The former Parisian is ambitious and dreams of winning a title as a starter with Les Gones.
At Olympique Lyonnais, Anthony Lopes’ recent media outing went badly. The demoted goalkeeper has a hard time with his situation and regrets not existing in the hierarchy established by Pierre Sage. For his part, Rémy Descamps obtained the number 2 place behind Lucas Perri. But the summer reinforcement will not be satisfied with it forever. It was indeed the lack of competition that pushed him to leave Nantes where the incumbent Alban Lafont was untouchable.

I had ambition – I still have it today – it’s certain that I didn’t want to limit myself to a number 2 role. » The goalkeeper trained at Paris Saint-Germain had therefore refused to continue negotiations with a view to an extension in Nantes.
Descamps warns Sage
« There is a proposal for an extension in November 2023, except that I saw the focus of the negotiation… it was not going in the right directionhe explained. I preferred to say no straight away and sharply. There were no discussions afterwards.
