Neither good nor bad.
Contrasting week for our French clubs in the European Cups. If PSG and Monaco won in crucial matches and OL brought home a draw, Lille, Brest and Nice all three lost. Consequence of the UEFA ranking, France remains fifth.
The Netherlands are getting closer, Portugal at a standstill
Only bad news of this European week, the good operations of Dutch clubsincluding Feyenoord who crushed Bayern Munich in C1 and AZ Alkmaar who surprised AS Rome in C3. The Netherlands, 6es (61,233), are therefore getting closer to France (65,665), but remain at a distance.
To compensate, France can be satisfied with the poor performance of its eternal Portuguese competitor in the area. Benfica and Sporting both lost in the Champions League when Porto also lost in the Europa League. In fact, Portugal remains seventh, at index 58.466.
-A qualifier for all the French clubs next week (apart from Nice, already eliminated) would do the UEFix Index a lot of good.
But what the hell is Rudi Garcia doing on the Belgium bench?
