This Tuesday evening, 24 hours before a European meeting as crucial for Paris as for his team, Erling Haaland was present at a press conference. And inevitably, his decision to extend his lease by a decade or almost with the Skyblues, with a salary estimated at 25 million euros per year at stake, was on everyone's lips.
-“It’s not very common, but it’s not something that displeases me”
“When I signed for City, I felt like home, I'm very happy here, like my family. It's exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy,” said the Norwegian striker. “The people I spoke with convinced me it was the right choice. We came to the same conclusions. I'm really looking forward to spending many years here in Manchester.”
Despite the extremely difficult period experienced in recent weeks, with only one victory in 13 matches between October 30 and December 29, Haaland did not hesitate to sign up for the long term with the English club.
“I think the club thought about everything. But the club knew what to do. A 10-year contract? It's not very common, but it's not something that displeases me (smile). It was easy choice for me,” he concluded this Tuesday in front of the press.
