Wydad Casablanca would place its pawns for potential reinforcement in view of the second half of the season, with the Club World Cup in their sights in June-July.

After completing his first signing of the winter in the person of Fahd Moufi, landed free following his departure from HNK Hajduk Split (Croatia), the Wydad Casablanca is well on its way to welcoming a second reinforcement.

Indeed, if the files Nordin Amrabat et Hamza Mendyl ended in refusals, the track leading to Mickael Malsa arouses optimism. According to information from the Moroccan press, Wydadie management has obtained the green light from coach Rulani Mokwena for the recruitment of defensive midfielder Mickael Malsa.

He would have passed a test

Without a club since February 2024 and his departure from Real Valladolid, the short-lived Martinican international (3 selections, no longer called up since 2014) convinced the Red and White technical staff after a test passed under the supervision of the South African technician.

If his transfer materializes, it will be his first experience in Africa and Morocco. Aged 29, the native of the region has so far had a career with a European accent. Trained at Sochaux where he made an encouraging debut in Ligue 1, he played in Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Turkey and even Spain, with around sixty matches under his belt in La Liga, at Levante and Valladolid.

Such a move would mark an unexpected rebound even for the main party concerned, who could in this case compete in the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for June 15 to July 13.
