Eirik Horneland's men will make two consecutive trips between the end of January and the beginning of February. The trip to the Stade Pierre Mauroy has been scheduled.

No Saint-Etienne victory in for more than 20 years

ASSE is struggling during its trips to the den of LOSC. Saint-Etienne's last victory in Lille dates back to December 17, 2003 in the Coupe de la Ligue. The Greens were then in the second division. Saint-Etienne has not won at Lille in the championship since 1998. That is more than 25 years without bringing back 3 points from the North for the Greens.

The last 2 meetings at the Stade Pierre Mauroy ended with a score of 0-0. The Greens suffered Lille domination without conceding a goal during the 2021-2022 season. The previous season, LOSC had the opportunity to validate its title of champion of in the event of success. ASSE, which had nothing left to play, therefore seemed to be well within the reach of the mastiffs. However, the match will end in a goalless draw and Lille will be champions on the last day.

The 3 previous meetings at Pierre Mauroy saw the Greens concede 3 goals per match. ASSE lost 3-0 in August 2019. Former Stéphanois Jonathan Bamba scored twice the previous season. Lille won 3-1. Or the same score as the 2017-2018 season. Jonathan Bamba was then playing in Green colors and scored the 1-1 goal from the penalty spot
