OL Mercato: Textor will let go with Botafogo and sacrifice Luiz Henrique!

The Brazilian press assures us: John Textor plans to achieve an XXL Mercato for Botafogo in January 2025.

Not all clubs in the Eagle galaxy are in the same boat. While OL are being asked today to tighten their belts, slim down and restore their economy under penalty of administrative demotion to Ligue 2 at the end of the season, on Botafogo's side, John Textor has always free rein to do what he wants…and he shouldn't deprive himself.

A transfer window worth almost €100 million for Botafogo?

According to the Brazilian media Fogaonet, the American businessman would consider spending between €80 and €96 million on his club's first transfer window in 2025. The local press mentions an attempt for the Portuguese passed by LOSC Paulo Fonseca, dismissed from his functions a few weeks ago at AC Milan. The latter, however, would have politely declined the proposal, not very tempted by a challenge in Brazil. A contact that is far from trivial at a time when Pierre Sage is weakened by his results at OL…
