Training: PSG U19s return to victory

A week after their elimination in the Gambardella Cup, Thomas Leyssales' players returned to the championship this Sunday. Facing the modest formation of Olympique Marcquois, the Parisians clearly won (4-0) and temporarily regained the lead of their group.

For this resumption of the championship, Thomas Leyssales took advantage of the reinforcement of Axel Tape and decided to start for the first time this season the goalkeeper Bryan Francillonne (2007), fifth goalkeeper used by the Parisian coach, and the striker Daniel Marques Nunes (2007).

The composition of PSG : Francillone – Boly (Kamara, 69th), Tape, Mbemba, Bastraud – Abo El Nay, Fanne Drame (c), Jangeal (Ayari, 69th) – Nsoki (Soule, 77th), Marques, Ndjantou (Mensah, 77th)

The two teams started the match with a bang: after a Marqcuoise shot off target in the first minute of play, Quentin Ndjantou found himself alone against Tim Lacote but the northern goalkeeper threw himself into the attacker's feet and won his duel (2nd). Taking advantage of a defensive approach from the visitors, Daniel Marques finds himself in a good position in the area and sends a powerful shot from the right onto the post (11th). Following a shot from Quentin Ndjantou that was repelled by the goalkeeper, the Parisian striker had a second chance to open the scoring but his left shot flew over the crossbar despite an excellent position (21st).

The players from the Capital push and after another opportunity from Quentin Ndjantou (22nd), Mathis Jangeal finds the fault with a very nice sequence at the entrance to the surface and a low shot from the left which ends up in the back of the net (1-0, 24th). Despite a lost duel by Daniel Marques against the Marcquois goalkeeper (33rd), Thomas Leyssales' protégés struggle to get clear chances and often lack spontaneity and simplicity in the opponent's last thirty meters.

A second half to widen the gap

Returning from the locker room, after a good ball recovery from Abdou Fanne Drame in the central circle, Quentin Ndjantou makes a full-line breakthrough and tries his luck victoriously from the right at twenty meters, thus signing his first goal of the season in the championship (2-0, 48th). The Northerners suffered the blow and conceded a new goal two minutes later when Daniel Marques wins his duel against the goalkeeper with a precise left strike (3-0, 50th). Established for the first time this season, Bryan Francillonne gave a cold sweat to the supporters present at the Campus after a bad restart then a very approximate aerial exit, fortunately without consequences (52nd).

Very enterprising since the start of the match, Quentin Ndjantou makes the Marcquoise rearguard suffer: after a dangerous strike then a goal refused for offside, the attacker serves on a plate Noah Snake for the fourth goal following a nice opening from Rayan Abo El Nay (4-0, 65th). Thomas Leyssales decides to make several changes and despite a final opportunity from Chams Soule, the referee whistles the end of the match with a score of 4-0 in favor of the Parisians.

Faced with a courageous opponent, Axel Tape's teammates delivered a good performance and we were able to observe, as since the start of the season, the playing principles advocated by Luis Enrique in the first team: possession of the ball, use of width of the pitch, full-backs who are in the heart of the game in the offensive phase, intense pressing as soon as the ball is lost. In the standings, the Parisians are now the sole leaders of the group, although with one more match due to several matches postponed this weekend.
