We know more about the details of the agreement between OL and Hoffenheim for the transfer of Gift Orban. The departure of the Nigerian striker will bring 12 million euros to the Rhone club.
Olympique Lyonnais' winter transfer window is off to a strong start. After completing the departure of Jeffinho to Brazil, the Rhone club reached an agreement this Wednesday with Hoffenheim for the transfer of Gift Orban. Very little used by Pierre Sage since the start of the season, the former Genk scorer is taking the plane this Wednesday evening to reach Germany and commit to the German club in the hours to come. The agreement was announced in the afternoon by Fabrizio Romano, but the transfer window specialist had not revealed the financial details of the deal concluded between OL and Hoffenheim.
At the start of the evening, L'Equipe tells us that the agreement between the two clubs concerns a transfer worth 10 million euros plus 2 million euros in bonuses. A great sale for OL, just one year after a purchase for 14 million euros including bonus, when we know to what extent Gift Orban failed to perform well under the Lyon colors. Obliged to sell to comply with the requirements of the DNCG, John Textor's club is clearly on the right path with two departures already completed while the winter transfer window is just opening its doors.
