It all started from unfortunate events in Furiani of which we do not yet have proof and from an insulting message from Marcin Bulkathe goalkeeper of Niceon social networks. From now on, the conflict seems to be gaining momentum and further worsening relations between the two clubs. Indeed, the OGCN player – replacement during the trip to French Cup at the rival Bastia on this Tuesday, January 14, 2025 – drew attention to himself recently with a phrase rare enough to be underlined.

“Victory on this me*de stadium” (sic), we could read for a few minutes on the footballer's Instagram story, after the 1-0 success of the Niçois in the derby. A rather uninspired decision, which unfortunately earned the goalkeeper threats and strong insults from fans of the defeated club. The Gym, on its official website, then decided to testify in favor of its goalkeeper and to condemn the actions of certain Corsican supporters, which could have led the professional player to make such a surprising media outing – quickly deleted.
« OGC Nice supports its goalkeeper Marcin Bułka, victim of numerous threats on social networks following his victory post Tuesday evening in Bastia on his Instagram account. This was directly motivated by the offensive remarks, particularly of a racist nature, from part of the public present in the stands against several of his teammates throughout the evening. Marcin assures that in no case did he want to fail in the memory of the victims of the Furiani tragedy. Upon reading this erroneous interpretation, he immediately deleted his publication. »
SC Bastia responds in the afternoon
An open letter to which Sporting's leaders and communicators did not take long to react. Less than an hour and a half after publication, the Turchini official website already presented a response to the Aiglons' criticisms, particularly on the point of racist insults which were not observed live but reported retrospectively.
“Sporting Club de Bastia takes note of the press release published by OGC Nice following the publication on social networks of its player Marcin Bułka following this Tuesday's match. First of all, the club firmly condemns all forms of insults, whether uttered online or in a stadium, and reaffirms its commitment to the values of respect and healthy competition. However, we can only deplore the rush to brandish accusations of racism without the slightest concrete proof.
Such serious assertions cannot be made lightly, as they unfairly tarnish the image of our club. Furthermore, it is essential to emphasize that Marcin Bułka was careful not to express the slightest reproach or dissatisfaction at the stadium, in the face of facts which he now describes as “insulting remarks of a racist nature”. On the other hand, he did not hesitate to incite hatred through a provocative publication on social networks after the meeting.
If the error is human and the club notes that Marcin Bułka's publication was quickly deleted, it is surprised by the unreserved support expressed by OGC Nice. This press release seems not only to excuse, but also to justify the player's behavior, minimizing the consequences of its publication. The club calls for greater discernment in order to avoid sterile controversies which only fuel unnecessary tensions. »
