Thiago Almada is officially an OL player. The club announced this Wednesday the arrival of the Argentina international, from Botafogo, in the form of a free loan until June 30, 2025.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder, world champion with Argentina in 2022, won the Brazilian championship and the Copa Libertadores this season with Botafogo.
OL presents him as a player “endowed with exceptional technique and great versatility”.
He becomes the seventh Argentinian international in the club's history, and will reunite with his teammate in the national team, Nicolas Tagliafico.
Thiago Almada already knows Groupama Stadium having played there last summer with Argentina during the Olympic Games. He also scored two goals in what is now his new stadium.
