The facts were announced almost live during the most publicized trial in the fight against basins, on November 28, 2023. While nine of the main leaders of the movement were tried before the court and a large gathering was organized in town, around a hundred activists had taken the road to Vendée, and more precisely to the basin located in the town of Oulmes.

There, a demonstration was organized but during the trial, the Niort public prosecutor announced that “the demonstrators went to damage a basin in Vendée”. The La Roche-sur-Yon public prosecutor's office confirmed the damage and opened an investigation.

On January 13, it was for these facts that a 50-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were tried in La Roche-sur-Yon, report our colleagues from West . Identified as being at the origin of the damage, they are accused of having destroyed the meter, the valves and electrical cables of the Oulmes water reserve.

The prosecutor requested 70 hours of community service (TIG) against them. The case has been reserved, the judgment will be rendered on February 10.
