It's a name well known to Rennes and Montpellier supporters who is making a comeback in Europe. This Wednesday, January 15, Sampdoria formalized the signing of M'Baye Niang to the club this winter. The Senegalese striker, released from his contract with Wydad Casablanca signed in September, arrives to strengthen the offensive sector of Samp, sixteenth in Serie B.

M'Baye Niang will return to a country he knows after completing his training with AC Milan, then playing for Genoa, Torino and more recently Empoli. Having played in Ligue 1, he notably wore the jersey of Montpellier, Stade Rennais and Girondins de Bordeaux, with 40 goals in 165 matches in the French championship.
