Back from the truce, and after a last notable success on the leader's lawn in 2024, Razik Nedder's players could not do better than a draw at home for their resumption in National 3 against Hauts Lyonnais (0- 0). Author of a first half considered too timid by their coach, the Greens nevertheless dominated possession in the second half. However, they lacked offensive solutions to materialize and take the advantage.
Faced with an opponent well grouped in defense, the young Greens had to be content with this draw result at the end of a closed meeting, marked by numerous contacts and interruptions of play.
Reaction from Razik Nedder (ASSE)
“During this match, we lacked offensive strength. I think two elements prevented us from winning. The first was our lack of intensity in passing the ball in the first half. This should have allowed us to wear down the opponent to make them give in for the duration of the match The second point concerns our offensive strength: we lacked the talent to break the deadlock. Haut-Lyonnais hardly came out of 40 meters in the second half. , and we do not have knew how to be sufficiently impactful or effective in our opportunities.
Our offensive absences were cruelly felt. They are players capable of creating imbalance, a rare commodity in football, and we missed them today to score this goal which would have avoided this draw.
That said, we remain on a seven-game unbeaten streak. On a day without much offensive inspiration, it was essential not to be countered. We have, once again, fielded young players, two of whom were making their first appearance at just 16 years old. These meetings will allow them to grow. We will have to recover the two points lost today during the trip next week.”
