Despite a lenient draw, LOSC does not continue its journey further than the 32nd finals in the Gambardella Cup. His youth were eliminated by AFC (R1) after a penalty shootout (2-2, 3-1 tab).

“It’s the Cup so anything is possible”warned Stéphane Noro in an interview broadcast by LOSC a few days before today’s opposition. These words were not enough to avoid the trap. Traveling to hostile lands, to Creil where Ayyoub Bouaddi took his first steps with a ball at the end of his foot, the youth started the year 2025 on the wrong foot, losing on penalties (2-2, 3 -1 tab) at the stage of the 32nd finals of the Coupe Gambardella. The draw was however lenient on paper with adversity evolving in Regional 1 this season.

Far from their bases, in conditions unusual for them in winter, the Mastiffs quickly got their feet in trouble by conceding the opener (28′). The reaction was fortunately immediate with the equalizer from Jephte Malanda (29′) straight away. The second half was a disaster from its start, with the early expulsion of Dimitri Lucea (48′), to its finale and a penalty shootout which sealed the fate of Stéphane Noro’s men. In the meantime, Jephte Malanda had scored against his side (70′). Kingsley Olufade snatched the equalizer at the end of the match (82′) without Soriba Diaoune, who already missed a penalty (90′), managing to turn the match around.

The rest is just a habit for LOSC, who very rarely come out on top during a penalty shootout (2-2, 3-1 tab). His path ends early, like last season at the stage of the 32nd finals.

The Lille composition: Sajous – Mokhtari, Hadiri, Seatelli, Lucea – Dehaine, Imbondo – Diaoune, Boussadia, Malanda – Akalé
