Will Still: “I have every confidence in Jonathan Gradit”

Executive of the group for several seasons, member of the defensive trident which made the success of the RC with Kevin Danso et Facundo Medina, Jonathan Gradet appeared to be the big loser in the rise ofAbdukodir Khusanov.

The defender was even preferred Malang Sarr last weekend against (0-1) despite the combined absences ofAbdukodir Khusanov and of Facundo Medina. The transfer to Manchester City of the first could bring him a little closer to the eleven but as Will Still confided, recruitment is also hoped for in defense in the event of a departure in this sector.

“Against Toulouse, I made the choice on purely sporting grounds”

While Jonathan Gradit’s agent spoke publicly in The Voice of the North displaying his incomprehension regarding the management of his player, Will Still still assumed this Friday to have made his choice for a question of footing against Toulouse (editor’s note: after the match, he indicated having preferred Sarr, left-handed, to occupy the left axis and thus not move Danso, more comfortable at right of the hinge). He added on Friday: “ If there is a departure, the order of choosing the players will change, but it is difficult to look today beyond Kodir and Kevin because it performs, because it is strong, it goes quickly and it gives us what we need. Players are paying the price, I spoke about it with Jo (Jonathan Gradit) and there is nothing more to say. If there is a departure, he will be there. Against Toulouse, I made the choice on purely sporting grounds and, moreover, despite the penalty, I found that Malang had a good match. But I have every confidence in Jo. »
