Didier Deschamps will end his long stint with the French team after a final World Cup in the United States in 2026. To succeed him, several names are being mentioned, notably that of Zinédine Zidane, but also Bruno Génésio. In fact, the LOSC coach spoke at length about the future of the national selection at a press conference.

Precisely, the coach of LOSC, who has built a nice reputation through his exploits in C1, reacted to the departure of Deschamps and rumor Zidane. « Concerning Zizou, it’s a bit the same as Didier. He also won everything. In his only coaching experience, he won, among other things, three Champions Leagues in a row. When you know how difficult it is to win one in a career and even just win a title, imagine what that represents. They are two monsters of French football and world football. For me there are no discussions” confided Génésio.

As far as his personal case is concerned, he seems quite enthusiastic about the idea. “A first thing, out of decency for the coach in place and who is doing a remarkable job, it seems inappropriate to talk about that right away even if the announcement makes a lot of noise.
