Coach, can you give us an update on the squad?
Ali (Abdi) had a normal week. Tom (Louchet) should be with us in the group, even if we have adapted his week. For Moïse (Bombito), he started his sessions at the start of the week, but it’s not yet perfect. It will be delayed. I don’t have a specific date but it won’t be right away. Jo’ Clauss was suspended (against Rennes) and he is coming back. Pablo Rosario goes the opposite way. We also managed Antoine (Mendy) for a lot of sessions because he had difficulty recovering muscularly. There’s nothing very dangerous, but we managed it anyway. Momo’ Cho has been sick for two days, he was better today and I hope tomorrow he will be even better. If it continues to improve well, there is a possibility that he could be with us this weekend.

Offensively, are you satisfied with what your team is showing?
I think we can go really further. Really. I’m happy, we’re scoring goals, we’re creating chances. These are positive signals. We also have a certain number of players who have been absent up front. At one point, there wasn’t much possibility of turnover. Things are improving, progressing, that’s obvious, but I think we can go even further in the offensive animation, because in addition, it does not depend only on the four players that I can currently put in front. Far from it. It depends on the full-backs, the ball releases of our centrals, the quality of our goalkeeper in the kicking game, the intelligence of our double pivot when we play with a double pivot. There are certain things that we must continue to improve. We must also go further in the offensive area.
What is your view on Reims (11th, 20 points), which is currently going through a more difficult period, after a good start to the season?
They started very well, with the change of coach and a backbone that is there, even if there are always departures and arrivals. It’s a club that has been recruiting quite intelligently for a while, who knows how to buy and sell well. L1 is difficult. It’s a very demanding championship. It is enough for a few matches to go less well and the confidence gained is a little less there, then the shift can quickly occur, in one direction or the other. Which does not prevent it from being a team that performs because it has impact and verticality. It also has quality offensive players, even if they are perhaps a little less successful or less confident lately. It remains a team that is dangerous.
