Although he mainly plays as a left winger, his versatility and efficiency have made him an essential player.
But Bouanga has been nurturing the desire to return to Ligue 1 for several months. Already last winter, he publicly expressed his wish to return to Europe. However, the negotiations were unsuccessful, in particular because of his substantial salary (2.3 million euros net per year) and the high transfer compensation requested by LAFC. Today, the situation seems to have evolved, and several clubs are showing interest, including Stade Rennais according to information from FootMercato.
