Salah targets the Premier League for his likely final year at the club
“Is this my last year at the club? So far, yes,” replied Mohamed Salah this Friday, who “really wants to win the Premier League” this year. “These are the last six months. There has been no progress (in the negotiations, editor's note), far from it. So we have to wait and see.”
“In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always said that I wanted to win the Champions League. But this is the first time that I said that I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool,” Mohamed also commented Salah on his ambitions this season.
Arriving at the club in 2017, Mohamed Salah has won eight trophies with Liverpool, including the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020. Led by Salah this season, the Reds are leading the English championship after 19 days, with six points ahead of Arsenal despite a game in hand.
Still sparkling this season, with 17 goals and 13 assists in 18 Premier League matches, Mohamed Salah has already put pressure on his leaders several times with a view to a possible extension. Courted in particular by Saudi Arabia, Salah has not commented on a future destination.
