4 dual nationals to convince for Marc Brys in 2025

Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe, Hugo Ekitike, Yann Aurel Bisseck and Bryan Namaso could all four appear with Cameroon in 2025. When some wait for the final administrative green light, others hesitate, between dreams of representing their country of birth and opportunities which are slow to arrive.

Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe (Frankfurt)

At 24, the former international Espoirs Frenchcould strengthen the Indomitable Lions from the next gathering in March. With an impressive CV and still in his prime, the midfielder trained in Saint-Germain has already proven his worth at the highest level. Double champion of with PSG (2019, 2022) and with more than 100 professional matches, he represents a high-quality potential reinforcement for the Cameroon.

According to Germain Noël Essengue, press officer for the Indomitable Lions, Dina Ebimbe has not yet made her selection choice official. However, his decision could be announced soon, and his arrival would give new impetus to the Cameroonian midfield. His ability to evolve in competitive environments, combined with his experience acquired in prestigious clubs, would represent a major asset for Cameroon's ambitions.

If the player decides to respond favorably to the call of his origins, he would strengthen a team wishing to form a new golden generation.

Hugo Ekitike (Frankfurt)

Since his arrival at Eintracht Frankfurt, the young 22-year-old Franco-Cameroonian striker has regained his momentum. Relegated to the bench at Paris Saint-Germain, the player flourished in the Bundesliga where he scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists in 23 matches this season. Its rapid adaptation in Germany has proven that he has the talent to succeed at the highest level.

Faced with the decline of Vincent Aboubakar, a living legend but losing momentum, Cameroon is looking for solutions to renew its offensive sector. Tracked by the Cameroonian Federation (Fecafoot) and coach Marc Brys, Ekitike appears to be an ideal candidate to join the den. Former international Alexandre Song recently agreed: “ Vincent Aboubakar is at the end. Ekitike is young. We should give him a chance. »

However, the path has not been without obstacles. Last May, after discussions with Marc Brys, Ekitike had spoken to reaffirm his ambition to represent the French team, despite only one cap with the Bleuets Espoirs. But Cameroonian hopes remain intact. If Ekitike were to join the Indomitable Lions, he would embody a new lease of life for a selection in search of offensive dynamism.

Yann Aurel Bissek (Inter Milan)

The German-Cameroonian central defender is going through a period of uncertainty regarding his international future. Although the former German U21 international expressed his desire to wear the colors of the Mannschaft, he was not selected for the final matches of 2024, which has once again reignited speculation about his future with Germany .

In an interview for Bild, Bisseck gave his response to Cameroon and entrusted his priority for the German team, but left the door open to other possibilities: “ I haven't decided anything yet, but my clear priority is the German team “, he declared, visibly moved to learn that Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of the Mannschaft, knew his name.

However, the situation could change in the coming months. The Cameroonian team, which is closely following his performances with Inter Milan, could try once again to convince the player to join the Indomitable Lions. If Germany is slow to materialize its interest, Marc Brys and Fecafoot could seize the opportunity during the next gathering in March to permanently attract the young defender and thus strengthen the Cameroonian rearguard.

Danny Namaso (Porto)

L’ex-international U20 English seemed on the verge of joining the Indomitable Lions to strengthen an attack lacking solutions. Pre-summoned in October, he was ultimately not selected for the final list, and his debut with Cameroon in November did not take place either. However, the 24-year-old is going through a good period with his club.

With three goals scored this season in 21 appearances, including several recent starts, Namaso continues to progress and attract attention. His presence in the Cameroonian den could offer a significant boost to an offensive sector too dependent on Vincent Aboubakar.

However, it is not on the sporting level that things are stuck. Fecafoot has not yet finalized the administrative procedures necessary to validate its change of sporting nationality. While several sources announced the case was settled, RMC Sport revealed that key letters have not been sent, both to FIFA and the English federation. Worse still, these delays would be linked to internal dissensions and a certain negligence within Fecafoot. A few months before the March gathering, it remains to be hoped that these obstacles which pose Marc Brys angry will be lifted to see Namaso finally join the Indomitable Lions.
