In La Nouvelle République, the former women's coach of the Girondins de , Patrice Lairspoke about the aftermath of his departure from Châteauroux, who returned to the Bordeaux region, and more precisely to Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, where he lives with his wife. Obviously, today, his days are a little calmer.

“During the week, I go running and walking by the sea with Brigitte; we're going to have some small restaurants. We both spend a lot of time. We make the most of it, we are lucky to be in a nice region, we are privileged. You have to understand that the life of a coach's wife is not easy: they suffer our frustrations. Otherwise, when the weekend arrives I go to see matches: the Girondins in N2, their reserve in N3, the women, etc. Last Sunday, I went to Matmut Atlantique for the 32nd final of the Coupe de against (1-4). Bordeaux played an honest match: a good first period (1-1), but after half-time the difference was made, Rennes imposed its rhythm and its efficiency. The Girondins would have to finish in first place in N2 to move up to National, but it will be complicated. Saint-Malo has a great course and there is only one climb.”

In any case, he obviously remains in contact with his deputy in Châteauroux, Jaroslav Plasil.

” Yes of course. I know he plays golf often. We see each other regularly. Recently, we ate together at Andernos. At our table, there were also Jean-Luc Dogon and Franck Chaumin.”
