When announcing this sanction, ASSE did not indicate that it wanted to appeal and specified that Ibrahim Sissoko would be available for the reception of Rennes in Ligue 1, on February 9.
Arriving in the summer of 2023 in Forez, the Malian international is having an average start to the season with the Greens. Despite 16 appearances in all competitions, including 9 starts, Ibrahim Sissoko has only scored 3 goals and has not scored since the beginning of November.
A bad patch which is also felt in the results of Saint-Étienne. ASSE has only won one of its last six matches (five defeats) and, worse, has been content with only two achievements over the period.
