The information was given this morning by our colleagues from the Team: FC Nantes has started discussions with AS Monaco regarding midfielder Eliot Matazo. The latter, who has played little since the start of the season, would undeniably have more playing time under the orders of Antoine Kombouaré.
On his X account, the always well-informed Mohamed Toubache Ter gave further details on the file. Yes, Matazo does indeed have an agreement in principle with the Canaries. The only concern, and not the least, is that the Principality club is awaiting a transfer while the Nantes leaders are hoping for a loan.
We are therefore far from the outcome. Unless a loan with a compulsory purchase option succeeds in convincing both parties. To be continued.
