On the sidelines of the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, Cristiano Ronaldo revealed one of the projects he would like to carry out at the end of his playing career.
Two months before celebrating his fortieth birthday, Cristiano Ronaldo has still not hung up his boots. However, the living legend of the Portuguese national team is already starting to think about what comes next, as many opportunities present themselves to him. The man who already has several businesses outside the field recently revealed one of the main projects that could animate him once he retires.
Cristiano Ronaldo plans to stay in football
This project also concerns the world of football, which the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been frequenting for more than 20 years. On the sidelines of the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, during which he notably received the trophy for the best player playing in a Middle Eastern country, Cristiano Ronaldo declared that he was considering taking charge of a club .
“I’m not a coach, I never will be. President, at the moment, I don't know. Club owner, maybe. Probably, even. But it depends on the moment, the opportunities… I have already thought about several clubs”declared the Portuguese.
A David Beckham-style project?
An increasingly frequent project for former players, while remuneration has never been so important for footballers. Indeed, in recent years, players like David Beckham and Gerard Piqué have offered themselves clubs, in order to manage them in their own way.
Asked about the situation at Manchester United, the Al-Nassr player imagined himself, for a few moments, at the head of his former club. “If I were the owner of Manchester United, I would clarify some things and adjust what I consider to be bad there”he declared ironically, before putting his intentions into perspective: “At the moment, I am still very young. I have a lot on my mind and a lot of plans for the future. But remember these few words: one day I will be the owner of a big club. »
