Romain Ferrierformer technical director of the training center and former coach of the U17 Nationals
Girondins de Bordeaux, for Girondins4Ever and before the match against Stade Rennaisspoke about his future. How much time do you give yourself before finding a project?
« As quickly as possible. It can happen quite quickly. I'm open to a lot of things because I have a lot of strings to my bow, actually. I have experienced many things. If possible, do something this season because there, we were far from the football fields and we miss that. In any case, an elite structure, that’s for sure. Not necessarily starting on a number one coaching project in a N2-N3 championship, that doesn't interest me. In France or abroad? We'll see, then there are the opportunities. I have already been asked to go abroad. It was the moment I said 'no, I don't want to leave'. You must not close doors. Now, if it's in France it will be the best. »
What can we wish you for the future?
« Happy holidays and good health. Happy Christmas. I'm not going to spoil it either, but may the year 2025 be much happier than the one we experienced in the second half of the year. May this whole Girondine page, may all employees be able to bounce back and turn the page. Bounce on something dynamic. It's true that a sports club, with all the coaches and trainers, we're going to go back into that world. But a football club for administrators is so special because there is emotion. There is affect in it, there is something. They claim something, they support something palpable, concrete while a company remains a company. But there is the human part which is extra. If it's disorienting to find something again when you've only known that? That's it. I'm going to come back to this, a compass for all these people and that we find a path with a nice heading. Health obviously and that we can all smile when we see each other again. »
