Without a club for more than three months, the former great hope of Olympique Lyonnais, Mohamed El Arouch, sees his name mentioned on the African side.
Officially a free agent since his departure from Botafogo on September 20, Mohamed El Arouch is of interest in Africa. According to the specialized account information Foot Masrythe cador Egyptian Al Ahly have reportedly ticked off the mid-20s name ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Cairo giant on the lookout for good deals on the market, and in particular zero-cost operations, like the trail leading to former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diazwould above all consider parting amicably with the thirty-year-old South African Percy Tau, who will not be renewed at the end of the season. All with a view to strengthening ourselves for the next 2025 Club World Cup.
He canceled a month after his arrival
El Arouch joined Botafogo at the end of last August from OL, his training club, where he never had a chance in the first team (only 3 appearances in two seasons for 2 tiny minutes in Ligue 1or one per season). A month later, the French pocket midfielder (1.66m) of Moroccan origin terminated his contract for “personal reasons”according to the Brazilian team, without playing a single match.
The latter then specified in its press release that the Orange native remained the property of the Eagle Group, the multi-ownership which owns OL and the solitária club, even if he is no longer in Les Gones' plans. It now remains to be seen whether Al Ahly will have to pay any financial compensation.
