Sixth in Ligue 1 with only one point behind Olympique Lyonnais, OGC Nice has had a more than decent start to the season for Franck Haise’s first year on the Aiglons bench. A real performance from the former RC Lens coach when we know to what extent the Nice squad has been decimated by injuries since the start of the season. In addition, there were not many reinforcements during the last transfer window with only 20 million euros invested to bring in Bombito, Clauss, Abdelmonem, Abdi, Ndombele and Moukoko. Jim Ratcliffe, boss of Ineos which owns OGC Nice, no longer really seems to make the Riviera club his priority now that he is also very involved at Manchester United.

The owner, Ratcliffe, will not make an extension as the sporting director (Maurice) and the coach (Haise) had hoped (naively) this summer” published the journalist on social networks. Information likely to worry supporters, more and more of whom think that Jim Ratcliffe is secretly thinking about a sale of a club which is no longer really useful to him since the Ineos group is much more involved in Manchester United. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops in the coming weeks but in Nice, there is reason to be worried about the sporting ambition of a club whose boss no longer wants to say anything.
