Paris Saint-Germain could achieve a major coup during the winter transfer window by securing the services of Christopher Nkunku. According to information from PSG Inside Actdiscussions have already started with Chelsea to make this return of the former Parisian titi a reality.
A departure from Kolo Muani to open the way
PSG's offensive hierarchy seems to be in complete upheaval. Randal Kolo Muani, who arrived with great fanfare this summer, is struggling to convince and could leave the club this winter. A possible sale of the striker would offer Luis Campos, architect of Parisian recruitment, the opportunity to relaunch discussions around a replacement of choice. Christopher Nkunku is at the top of the list to take on this role.
A return taking shape
Trained at PSG, Nkunku has since proven himself on the biggest European stages, notably with Leipzig before his arrival at Chelsea. His transfer to London, although promising, has not yet borne fruit due to injuries and a mixed adaptation. The versatile attacking midfielder would, however, be seduced by the idea of returning to Paris and contributing to a project that he knows well.
A loan with a purchase option mentioned
For PSG, the objective would be to obtain Nkunku in the form of a loan with an option to purchase, a financially attractive formula. According to PSG Inside ActLuis Enrique would have validated this idea, seeing in Nkunku an asset to strengthen the offensive animation of his team.
