National 2. The journalist returned to the 1-1 draw against Saint-Malo, leader of the championship.
« The lesson is that you can win without Andy Carroll. He wasn't there, we were all a little worried. It's true that we scored on a fairly exceptional individual feat, with this goal from Soufiane Bahassa from more than 40 meters. He is simply exceptional and it is thanks to an individual exploit that we manage to take a point in this match. But it's true that it should be noted that we finally succeeded, if I may say so, in making a rather coherent production, without Andy Carroll. This is perhaps the first match of the season without Andy Carroll, where I find that there is a certain consistency in the game. We didn't swing too much, we tried to play, we tried to find our players on the sides. Our midfield struggled in the first half, but overall managed in the second half to gain the upper hand. But it's true that we finally have a slightly more accomplished game without Andy Carroll. »
He also spoke of the coach's frustration after this draw:
