The Vélodrome stadium is taking a step towards sporting inclusion. For the remainder of this 2024-2025 season, Olympique de Marseille will offer audio description of its matches, allowing supporters with visual disabilities to fully experience football.
The operation begins this Sunday, December 1 with the clash between neighbors, OM – AS Monaco as part of the 13th day of Ligue 1. It is the result of a partnership established with W Sports for a 100% Marseille association. Audio description marks a commitment to equal opportunities in access to sport, which echoes this year 2024 placed under the sign of inclusion with the Olympic and Paralympic Games as the highlight.
This Sunday for the Mediterranean clash, two specialist commentators, Vincent Volume and Julien Wachowski, will translate live the smallest details of the match. This will be the first of a system destined to extend to the Vélodrome as elsewhere.
