A championship weekend and a week of European Cups, WhoScored had quite a few matches to analyze to update its ranking of the best clubs in Europe. If Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain remain in the lead, the peloton behind has changed significantly compared to last week.
For example, and quite surprisingly, Liverpool was beaten by Real Madrid while the Reds beat the Merengue on Wednesday evening at Anfield (2-0). Less surprising is the fall in the standings of Manchester City, 7th last week and now 16th in the top.
Nice comeback on the other hand for Olympique de Marseille who went from 36th to 31st place thanks in particular to their victory against RC Lens last Saturday (1-3). Note that the Sang et Or also appear in the table, in 50th and last place.
